So my old phone has a smashed screen and I bought a new phone. Problem is I don't remember the name of the gmail account that I bought all my apps on. What would be the best course of action? Emailing the app company to see if they have a record of a username with my credit card? Is it something that is stored on the phone and I could see if I plugged the phone into a PC?

Just google, Google account recovery. There are online options to recover your account if you forgot passwords

There is no one on your gmail email list that you could contact somehow to see if they either remember or have it in their address book for gmail??

I don't think so. I never actually used it to email people so my friends would have never known it? I only used it to log into the Google store but yet again I don't remember the username/email.
