Too many texts to delete?

Hi, I transferred all my texts from my iPhone to my S5, and there are too many to delete! It says there are about 26,000, and that sounds about right, because they are my texts with my ex girlfriend from the last year. If I try delete them, messages ends up just crashing. If I even open the texts, it will freeze up, but eventually open. Anyone have any ideas?

Try a 3rd party app -- My girlfriend had this issue as well. I used ChompSMS and it was able to delete them. It took about 10-15 minutes of spinning on "deleting..." but I left the phone alone and it got through it.
