How to stop messenger automatically saving photos to my samsung gallery??

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about the stock Messaging (SMS) app, or Facebook Messenger, or Google Messenger?

Are you sure the full photo is being saved, or is it just a thumbnail?

I don't have any direct experience with FB Messenger. Have you checked all of its settings?

Open Messenger on your phone far right is a small cog/wheel that opens it uncheck Photos:-*

For the new galaxy s6 edge plus, when i send a picture over the stock messaging app it automatically resaves the image in my pictures file. How do I stop this?

Also when I'm sending an image I'm not able to send more than one image in the same message or include text. Can I change this?

Go to Messenger and then click on the little construction wheel, then go to data and storage and then un check the box.

This wk I replaced the stock android SMS,MMS, app for Google messenger. It's beautiful but how do I save photos with a Moto X 2014 phone. The stock app did this perfectly.

I still can't find it I've looked in setting under apps and then tried to go into messenger and change settings but it won't let me do anything to change settings... do I have to go into the app itself?

At the top right on messenger you'll see a person. Tap that, scroll down to photos and media. Turn off there

I can help you and won't 'skip steps' like everyone has done here!
When you open messenger at the top right of the screen there is a little button, like a person. Click that and it will take you to a Messenger profile. Scroll down and select 'Photos and Media' and then deselect 'Save Photos'.

I thought I would never find "settings" for FB Messenger for Galaxy S8.
Press the house icon and from there press on your picture in the top right corner and you will get to the Facebook Messenger App settings. Hope this helps ??????
