Looking for a new Android phone for Christmas possibly. Do I wait or get which one?
Hey everyone, I used to have a Droid Eris before it got water damage and my brother who was paying the bill decided to pay the insurance cost and give it to someone so I haven't had a phone for about 6 months now. I just have Google Voice forwarding calls to a Sipgate number on my computer essentially using my computer as a home phone that makes free calls.
Now, I was offered to go on my Mom's family plan with AT&T but I don't like any of their phones except the Captivate. Now, is it worth it for me to buy a Captivate right now or should I just go over to Sprint and get an Evo or T-mobile and get a MyTouch 4g? I really want one with a front-facing camera so that my friend with an iphone 4 can't rub that in my face.
I also know that Android phones like to go in cycles and it's been a while since a lot of new phones were released. Last year when I got the Eris for Christmas, lo and behold, Verizon was no longer selling it like 6-7 months later. I really don't want to buy a Captivate on AT&T if in 3-4 months, they are going to have a superior phone with better features (specifically a front-facing camera) that I'd rather have.
Any advice for me?
