Why won't my motorola phone turn on?

last night I was watching some videos when all of the sudden my battery went dry and my phone turned off. so I put my phone to charge and went to sleep. now my phone won't turn on and when It's charging it will just turn on a green led. My phone is a motorola razor d3 (XT919)

Try removing the battery for about a minute. Than re install and press the power button

Welcome to Android Central! That phone's battery is not user-removable. Have you tried pressing and holding the power button for a good 15-20 seconds? If that doesn't help, try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: How to Wipe the cache partition on Motorola RAZR D3 | MobiAny

how can I boot into recovery mode if my phone is not powering on?

Can you use it if it's plugged into the charger? You said it's showing green, Don't unplug and try the reset.
