Why can't I have save messenger photos after deleting messenger photo album?

Cannot save messenger photos after deleting messenger photo album

I recently deleted a few albums to clear some space. I deleted the messenger and screenshots albums in my gallery. Now I cannot find any of my new messenger photos. I am able to save them but I can't find them anywhere in my phone. What can I do?? I think I won't be able to save screen shots as well because I deleted that album too. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Mega

Welcome to Android Central! Use a file manager app (like the stock one, if your phone came with one, or a 3rd party one like ES File Explorer) and look for the directory /storage/sdcard0/Pictures/Screenshots/. Does it exist, and do you see any of your recent screenshots there? If so, then go to the App Manager, select Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open Gallery again, and wait for the database to repopulate. See if this process makes the Screenshot folder reappear. Hopefully it will also make your Messenger folder reappear as well.
