Software update notification info.

Is there a way to set notifications for when a software update is available for the operating system on my Droid Turbo? I don't want updates to automatically install or be downloaded unless I choose to do it.

There is no setting for this. You might be able to disable the notifications the next time it comes up by long pressing the notification in the notifications shade. This will bring up an app info button and you can click on that, then uncheck Show Notifications.

I don't mind getting the notification but I don't want it to be automatically downloaded or installed.

That's kind of a bunch of crap. If I'm happy with the current operating system I should be able to keep using it. My I phone 5 still has the same system as the day I bought it because it works fine and does everything I need.

No it won't.

About the only way to absolutely prevent an installation is to root the phone (or flash a non-stock ROM). Once you've done that, freeze the update app and you'll never see another notification.
