How can I get my Kyocera Hydro Life C6530 working with a selfie stick?

Kyocera Hydro Life C6530 not working with selfie stick

I bought a Monopod plug and play selfie stick that plugs into phone's earphone jack. It doesn't take a photo when i am in camera mode and push the button on the handle. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Was the selfie stick advertised as being Made for iPhone? If so, it might not be compatible with all Android devices.

Open the Camera app and go to its settings. See if there is an option to make the Volume button be the shutter release. If so, turn that on. Now try again with the selfie stick.
