Problem detecting the phone in my laptop

I have frequently connected my phone through USB cable and been able to move files from it, but since a couple of weeks ago after I insert the cable it doesn't show my device on Windows Explorer, and I have to reinstall the driver.
I am not sure whether its a failure from the phone or my laptop, both seems to function well.
I am curious to find a solution so that it always detect the phone as it used to, and wanted to hear your opinions on how to do so.

Which phone? Does it connect after reinstalling the driver?

Cables can sometimes go bad, so try a different cable. Another alternative solution is to use a wireless file transfer app like AirDroid or Wi-fi File Explorer.

Its a Samsung galaxy trend plus. I have connected two other samsung models and all connect instantly, now I know its my phone that has a problem.
It connects right after reinstalling the driver.
