How can I tell if my phone is a Droid MAXX or Droid ULTRA?

AC Question

Can't tell if my phone is a Droid MAXX or Droid ULTRA

So i'm trying to buy a case and this is really confusing me on which phone I have.

On the "About Phone" section it says the Model number is a DROID MAXX
and verizon says on my contract that it's a Droid MAXX

BUT

"Hardware Information" says it's 16 GB of ROM, which the ultra has.

also, whenever I go on the verizon website, it detects i'm using a Droid Ultra

and I searched up the serial number on the back of the phone, and it comes up as Droid Ultra (Xt1080)

Anyone have suggestions on how to figure out what phone i have? Will it even matter which case I get it for, since they both are similar in shape

Re: Can't tell if my phone is a Droid MAXX or Droid ULTRA

Welcome to Android Central! The Ultra has kind of a wedge shape when viewed from the side--it's fatter near the top, where the camera is, and tapers as you go down. The Maxx is doesn't have that shape--it has a uniform thickness throughout.

Also, I think the Ultra's finish is glossy, while the Maxx has the carbon fiber texture.
