Why don't I have any sound in the browser?

No sound in browser

Hi

I've been searching for an answer to an issue regarding no sound within webpages/browsers. All sound works as usual for calls, notifications, videos etc, but certain websites I visit have audio embedded into the pages however this never sounds out on my phone.

I've tried Chrome, Firefox and Puffin browsers but none of them play the sounds, is there a setting I can change or a different browser that would work?

Welcome to Android Central! Which device do you have? Is Android System Webview up to date? (Search on Google Play Store to make sure.)

If it's a Lollipop device, also go to Settings>Developer Options, and look for an option to toggle between NuPlayer and AwesomePlayer. Try toggling between the two and see if that helps.
