Why are all of my pictures going to Picasa?

Pictures going to Picasa

Hi guys!

I just got my first android (Note 4) and decided to let Google into my life even more by storing my photos with them in the cloud since I am use to iCloud.

Anyways, I have been uploading all my pics today.

While waiting I went to check out what Picasa is and saw all my pictures uploading there too. I double checked that under accounts I have it unchecked to sync with Picasa web albums but all the photos are going to Google Photos as well as Picasa. How can I stop them from going there and only have them go to Google Photos?

I do have Google +, Google + uploads checked under accounts so maybe one of those is to blame?

Welcome to Android Central!

I didn't even know people used Picasa anymore, considering Google owns that, as well. I would have to do some research, but I bet they are synching to the same place. I'm not sure what Picasa does that Google Photos doesn't, otherwise I'd say to just delete/disable Picasa. Just my two cents.

+1. Picasa is just a shell of its former self, and there are still random overlaps with it G+ Photos and Google Photos.
