Use HDMI2AV for old TV to connect Smart TV Box Stick!!

Hi, I have an old TV with no HDMI and i want to convert it to smart so i thought i could get the HDMI2AV converter and use it with a Smart TV Box Stick or Chromecast, is that possible??

Please help because i am confused!
