Does doubleTwist work better with a PC rather than a Mac?

I've been trying to transfer some songs from my Mac to my Android phone but
not having any luck. Here's what I'm doing:
I created a couple of playlists in doubleTwist in my Mac.

Then I hook up my phone to the Mac and when it recognizes the phone, I click Sync (I have "sync to selected playlists checked.")

I can see my songs in the playlists in my computer within the doubleTwist program. But when I unplug the phone and go check it, my playlists in the phone are empty, blank. There is nothing there.

I've also tried copying and pasting songs from my hard drive to Music folder in doubleTwist, then dragging those songs to the phone (in no particular folder), but they still don't show up on the phone.

Is there a manual on how to use doubleSync?
or, does it work better on a PC than with a Mac?
