My Asus fone pad is having a power on problem

My newly bought ASUS fone pad is having a power on problem. Last night its battery went drained, i charged it for almost 5 hours already but still won't open. Only a battery charging appears. Please help!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Have you let it sit on a wall outlet for at least 4-6 hours undisturbed before trying to power on again? Ideally, let it charge overnight without trying to power on. If it still doesn't seem to be charging, try a different cable and/or wall charging plug. Ultimately, I wouldn't spend too much time trying to troubleshoot, since it's a brand new phone--bring it back for a replacement or refund.
