Why has my email stopped loading

All of a sudden, as of Sunday at 9:29 am my email quit loading any new email. I did delete some that morning, but did nothing else unusual.

Which device do you have? What email app are you using? What type of email account is it? Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Exchange, IMAP, POP3, your ISP account?

Sorry, here are the details. I have Verizon email on a Galaxy S3 phone for several years, no problem. Account is POP3 and I have checked incoming, outgoing, ports, etc., All is the same as my PC which downloads email as usual, even checked to save copy on server and cleared cache. A puzzle because nothing has changed on my phone.
