Bricked Android - can reinstall OS?

I have bricked my Fascinate i500 while applying a fix from the market (change screen locker from GST (Galaxy S Tweaker). When rebooting it goes through the white Samsung logo and the music and it stops there. Have tried deleting the cache and the user data -- did not help. Is there a way to restore the OS? Thanks

If the Fascinate works like the Captivate, you should be able to use Odin. Check here:

By "user data" do you mean you went to boot loader and selected to clear storage? If not, I would try that.

Power off your phone, press volume down and the power button at the same time, when the menu loads up, select clear user storage.

Yeah that's what I did. Will try Odin.

Odin does not recognize the phone (I do have the Samsung drives installed, and I have connected in the past to the computer w/o problems). Is there any way to make Odin see the phone?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.
