Phone useing way to much data

I gust had my my droid maxx replaced when I received the phone I did all the normal set up things. The next day I checked on the data use and it had used over a gig the phone had bin off WiFi for many 3 hours does any one know what is causing this or how to stop it

Install Onavo Count and see if you can diagnose which app is trying to hog your data.
