why won't google display information when I look up something on the internet

when I look up something on google, it shows all available pages to click on. when I click on one...the screen goes white with the search or type URL box appearing , then the screen goes back to the previous screen with all available pages to click on. The same thing happens when I am using the AccuWeather.com page. If I click on "MORE" at the bottom of the page to get more details, the screen goes white with the search or type URL box appearing. Then it goes back to weather page I was just on.

Welcome to Android Central! Which browsers do you have installed? It sounds like the browser is refusing to open the link for some reason. Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select your browser, and Clear Cache. If you have multiple browsers, you could also Clear Defaults, and then select the other browser when it prompts you after selecting a link in the Google Search app.
