Welcome to Android Central! It's probably just that--you have insufficient storage to add anything more. 8 GB means that you probably only have about 4-5 GB available to you, since 3-4 GB are usually taken up by the system and any bloatware. That 4-5 GB might also be further divided into an App Storage area and an "internal SD" that acts like an SD card, but isn't removable.
