Why won't my phone screen and touch pad work?

My phone screen and touch pad wont work

I have recently purchased a new screen and digitizer for my phone. I have installed it correctly and the sound, lights and vibrations work but the touch pad and the touch screen dont respond and the screen is black. What is the problem and what do i do? The phone vibrates upon turning it on, the blue light shows up, it makes the sound but nothing shows on the screen. When it is on, i can hear my messages coming through but i cant see anything and the touch pad will not respond

Welcome to AC.

Presumably, either the replacement part is faulty, or you did not install it correctly.
Also, perhaps the old one was damaged in such a way that damage other than that to the screen was done, that you are unaware of?
