my phone wont tell me when its dying... what to do?

My percentage would stay at a certain number and won't move, i wouldn't know my phone is dying till it cuts off

You could look at downloading a 3rd party app from the playstore that tells you your battery stats, that way you can monitor it through a widget.

How old is the battery? If it's at the end of its life, it can start giving erroneous readings like this, especially dying even though it's reporting having power left.
