Why would networks crash my phone?

AC Question

why would networks crash my phone?

I have the lv volt from virgin mobile's Data Done Right. I haven't really had any problems until yesterday. If I connect to wifi or turn the mobile data on, my phone keeps restarting over and over again. If turn the data off before it tries to reboot it stays on. Phone calls and texts still seem to work though. I have searched for 2 days and can't find an answer. Everything involves connecting to networks to update but I can't even connect. Safemode still crashes. Not looking forward to (but might be stuck) doing a factory reset seeing as I can't back up any of my stuff. Any ideas?

Re: why would networks crash my phone?

Welcome to Android Central! If it's occurring in Safe Mode, then there's something wrong with either the firmware or hardware. What kind of data do you need to backup? Is it data you can transfer to the computer via USB connection, prior to trying a factory reset? Ultimately, I think you'll have to contact LG about warranty repair (if it's still valid).
