Something is stuck in my Headphones port, what is the method to remove it?

Something is stuck in my Headphones port

I know what it is. It's a gum wrapper. I was able to see what it was. How it got there is beyond me, but I noticed when I couldn't plug in my earbuds. It registers the gum wrapper as headphones and will not play music out loud. Best method for removal? Am I screwed?

Welcome to Android Central! Either there was a piece of gum wrapper in your pocket and it sneaked into the jack while the phone was in your pocket, or someone's trying to punk you.

You could use a damp toothpick to root around, or a can of compressed air to blow the jack out.
