Best Sprint device?

I've been a webOS user since launch day and my pre has fallen apart. I'm thinking about grabbing an android handset just to bide me over till summer but I was unsure of which device to pickup.

tl;dr On sprint, whats the best android phone with the best performance?

Undoubtedly the EVO. This phone will continue to be number one until Sprint comes out with part two. Hahababa.

my issue with the evo is that the iteration of the snapdragon thats in that device has been out since 2008 (iirc). the epic uses a relatively newer omap. How is the evo better then the epic?

I would go with an epic, my brother has one and it is a solid handset.

Evo might be old but still can perform just as well as some of the newer Android devices. Old or not, as long as it can do what I need and then more, I'll be happy with it.

I know a few people with the evo and they absolutely love it. I guess it really depends on what you're looking for.

Evo hands down. You'll also be kept more current with the latest OS upgrades, as opposed to the Epic. Developer support is also far better on the Evo than the Epic -- just in case you decide to root.
