Water damage ?

[AC Question]

Regarding the water damage marker inside cell phones.
Are they supposed to a SOLID color, or
is a pattern over white OK?
Or, is any color showing bad?

I suspect that partial colouring may indicate water ingress caused by high humidity for example.
