Can you get a split cable that allows syncing and charging at the same time?

When developing on android devices (specifically tablets due to their large screen), the USB port on my computer isn't supplying enough current to charge the device, i.e. the drain of the screen etc is greater than the charge from the USB port.

Is there a device that allows mains charging and USB syncing simultaneously?

Something like this should work (also saw micro and USB 3 micro variants)

I've used a y-splitter before and it did the job. Some devices like an old USB air card I once had used these just for the reason you mentioned. It allows the device to draw power from two USB ports on the computer while maintaining sync ability. I tried looking for amplified cables, but everything I found were amplified signal, not power.
