why does it keep say unfortunately google play services has stopped and how do i fix it?

I am getting really irritated the above message keeps appearing every five seconds how do I fix it?

Go to setting, app manager , find google play store, tap on force stop and uninstall update, this will turn your google play to the old version, open google play, go to my app and find 'google play services' and update it. I hope this solve your problem
(It worked for me)

Google play services is a system .apk
Uninstalling it can lead to trouble... Like crashes / freezes.
It's not a good idea to mess with system .apk's
