AC Question

can my phone be salvaged?

Hi
Around 9 months ago I dropped my phone down the toilet and almost straight away got it back out. I tried taking it apart straight away and left it to dry for days. I even tried the rice but with no luck. I then put the phone back in its box and left it. This morning ive been having a clear out and came across said phone. On the off chance I switched it on and I heard a lot of beeps coming through. Possibly old emails and the 'home' keys at the bottom lit up. I tried swiping the screen as it to unlock it and I heard the noise that means its unlocked so the sensor on the screen appears to be working also It will also charge I know this because when I plug it in it makes the usual noise to indicate charging. Only one problem...there is no display on the screen which looks like the phone is when its switched off. I am taking it to get looked at later but just wondered if anybody knows from experience if its worth getting a new screen or if its a deeper problem?

Thanks in advance.

Re: can my phone be salvaged?

Welcome to Android Central! Difficult to know, because water damage can be unpredictable. If you replaced the screen, it might work, but then you might notice other problems, like wi-fi connection issues, USB issues, battery drain, etc.
