Why won't my phone charge?

My phone won't charge!

My phone was charging then I unplugged it to let it die and I plugged it back in it was working fine but none of my apps were working. I took the battery out then put it back realized why none of my apps were working then I plugged my phone back in but it's wasnt showing that it was charging and it stayed at 1% so I tried to restart my phone to see if when it came back on it would show that it was charging. Now my phone won't even turn on even though i have it plugged in.

Couple things.
1 if the phone is under a year old I would take it to your carrier and see about a warranty replacement.
2 see if you can get the battery tested like at batteries plus bulbs or similar
3 try a different charger
4 look at the battery to see if it is swollen. If it is it is probably bad
5 check the water damage indicators and see if they have turned pink. If they have it might be your main board has gone bad.
6 try and see if the charging cable wiggles in the port if it does your port could be bad and in need of repair take it to a repair shop
