Calendar has stopped working after firmware upgrade

A couple of days after upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S to the latest firmware, I get:

"The application Calendar Storage (process.com.android.providers.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force Close"

I have tried restarting the phone and clearing the calendar data but that makes no difference.

Anyone got any ideas?

Did you try actually pulling out the battery, while the phone is running? If not, try that. Leave it out for a minute, replace it and restart. If the issue still existed and it was my phone, I'd try a factory reset.

Have you searched for this situation or posed this question in the Galaxy S forum? If not, take a look.

Did you clear just the calendar data, or also the calendar storage data? If not, try that. If that doesn't work, might be time for a reset.

Found this fix in the Droid X forum, though it actually came from some other site:

The fix at your link worked. Basically, Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Calendar Storage > Clear Data. Then re-sync. Whew! THANKS!!!
