Explanation (if you care):
There's nothing in the phone that depends on magnetism (except the compass), like a floppy disk would. You will probably have to recalibrate the compass after every time you use the magnifier (but with most phones, you have to do that every time you use the compass anyway - and it's trivial, just rotate it 3 times in each of the 3 axes).
