Why Won't My Samsung Galaxy Ring Turn On After Purchasing A New Battery??

I purchased a battery for my Galaxy Ring after the phone stopped working back in October 2015. The phone was working just fine and all of the sudden it started turning on and off not even 2 mins of starting back up. I took the old battery out and haven't touched it until i purchased my new battery. I inserted the battery and put it on the charger and 3 hours later i notice the phone hasn't tried to come on or start up and I am wondering whats wrong with the phone? I would like to get to the bottom of this becaue I need the memories that are in this phone.

Leave it on the charger overnight. Then try turning it on. It won't come on by itself. (And give it 3 full charge/discharge [until it shuts off] cycles, to condition the battery, just in case it was sitting on the shelf for months.)
