How to stop Erase phone command from Google search "Find my phone"

ANDREW MARTONIK published a great post on Apr 15, 2015 - You can now quickly Google 'find my phone' to locate your misplaced Android device.

I did it and it worked great. So great, I was able to convince the thief to return it - thank you Google and Andrew!!

Trouble is when I thought all was hopeless, I sent the command to erase the phone. It's been off since I activated the Ring command but will erase once it's powered up.

How can I cancel the erase command?

Pull the sim card, make sure there is no wifi available, boot it up and back up everything. I'm just saying this off the top of my head so I can not guarantee you that this will work. Good luck.
