Screen protector?

I know this isn't really an android question but i dont know where else to go. My carrier gives out phones with screen protectors already on them. Do these screen protectors work? Or are they just enough to not get scratched by the box. Should i take it off and replace with a bought one right away or can i just use it? Thanks

The screen protector that came on my Samsung Note 4 was an actual screen protector. I don't know about other manufactures, but if there is no "tab" to pull the protector off, then it's probably a real protector. Just use it and see if it stands up to daily use. If not, you'll know pretty quickly if it's just plastic film.

What kind of phone is it? I think it varies from model to model. Some films have a little pull tab area and its intended to remove that kind of film.

It was the LG G2 and it didn't have a tab, I used it for about 3 months.
