Using normal phone charger on quick charge phones and vice versa?

In whatever way they do, the phone and charger "talk" and negotiate the charge speed/rate. With properly designed/built cables (a nod to the USB-A to USB-C cable issues here, though QC isn't in play there), the charger will provide no more power than it is designed to, and no more power than the phone is intended to accept. So, you can use either charger with either phone, just don't expect the non-QC charger to charge the QC-capable phone at QC speeds or the QC charger to charge the non-QC phone at QC speeds.

1) The phone will charge at a slower rate. I find the battery stays colder charging slowly... a hidden advantage IMHO.
2) It charges the same as it would without the quick charger.
