How can I stop a virus pop up?

a pop up comes up saying I have a virus even after I factory reset my phone and I don't know how to stop it

After the factory reset, did it come up immediately, or only after you reinstalled your apps?

Try starting your phone in safe mode and see if you still have the problem: if you do, then you have a corrupted operating system (unlikely unless you were rooted and gave permissions to an app that you shouldn't have); if the problem does not appear while in safe mode then you most likely have a bad app installed.

I don't know what OS you are running but in newer Android releases:

1. Turn on device and login if necessary
2. Hold power button until "Power Off" banner appears
3. Tap and hold Power Off banner until "Reboot to safe mode?" appears
