Is this software update information message legitimate?

AC Question

This morning I woke to an information message that displays the same symbol as a system update. It is advising me to update to the new version of software. The problem is it has words spelt incorrectly and grammatically doesn't make sense. I'm now scared to update the software in case I have picked up a bug. Is that possible? Has anyone seen this message before?

I got that message this morning too. Wish I'd taken a screenshot. Found it strange 'cause I hadn't updated my software for months until a few days ago and never got any similar messages during the last few months.

Luckily I got a screenshot this morning. I am using samsung Galaxy S5 and haven't updated for a while, I don't know which version I'm currently using. I have since had an error message telling me my device does not have enough available storage for a new update and I need to delete some unused files?

I got it too, Checked my phone settings and I do not have a 'Device Information' option in there. :-

I got the same thing and when I checked software update status it reported all software was up to date. Looks very suspicious to me so I have avoided hitting the ok key on it just in case.

It gave two options, either "update" or "okay". I pressed "okay" and message went away, and nothing else happened.

I've got the notification now, seems very dodgy to me. Anyone find out if it's legit? I did a quick Google search and can't find anything similar other than this thread.

Kind of tempted to do a factory restore on my phone just in case!

I got similar message updated software,in my system log.Does anyone know if this is possible?,I was supposedly upgraded from 5.1 to 6.0. I can't get any response from Google Support,Feedback,or Google Accounts. Phone is: ZTE Obsidian 820,OS 5.1
