clear cache memory?

How often should I clear cache memory? I clear it 1-2 times a day. Is this excessive?

I've no idea of the best practice for clearing the app cache. I always used to assume once a week, but it's been a long time since I remembered to do that. I'm guessing that you can probably leave it until you encounter a problem which may be caused by the data files becoming corrupt, and then clear the cache.
Bear in mind that every time you clear the cache, the phone will have to rebuild it, so I'd say that once or twice a day is far too frequent. But that's just my view.

I rarely do it, and even then it's only on an as needed basis to address specific problems.

I just clear cache after a system update or if I'm having some issue with an app. Clearing cache on a regular is unnecessary, it will use more of your phone resources (CPU cycles, battery, Internet connection, etc) and in general it will make your phone run slower. You don't need to worry too much about cache.
