I'm sorry if it's been gone over before but searching didn't help.

Coming from the Blackberry (BIS) I am looking for the filter functions for Android. I don't want to get all the sales flyers, newsletters, etc on my DROID.

Is there any filter function (as with BIS)?

Wouldn't that just be a spam filter provided by the email server? I used BIS for years on BB - there was no "filter" built into BB email servers to my knowledge.

I could be wrong though.

Unless you meant to say BES and your IT dep't was filtering.

I think they blocked some stuff while browsing and what not to help speed up their browser.

If you're rooted, you can use an App called "Adfree" it's free in the market and it blocks some stuff from loading. It even blocks some Ads in the Lite apps.

There's nothing like BIS filtering because there's no equivalent to BIS on Android. You really should filter before or at the mail server. If that's not possible an app might be able to help -- though I'm not aware of any.
