AT&T Software Update - Not enough space, any suggestions?

AT&T Software Update - Not enough space

A notification popped up overnight that an AT&T software upgrade is ready, but warning me I don't have enough space. I went and cleared 3gb of space on my phone, and re-started. The notification continues to exist! When I tap on the notification, nothing happens. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Did you clear up 3 GB of the phone's main internal storage, or was it possibly from the "internal SD" partition of internal storage?

And did you restart the phone after clearing the space?
