Why do my on going downloads disappear from my notification bar?

I will donwload an file from the internet and as soon as i go of the internet the download will dissappear but if I pull the notification bar down as soon it starts to download it will carry on but if go off it the download will dissappear.

That's because the notification you're seeing is a download progress indicator. When you go offline, the file is just not downloading anymore, so the file is either truncated/cancelled or just deemed finished.

Are you using the stock browser or another browser app? Because I know with Dolphin, if you leave the browser, the download stops and it doesn't pop up in your notification bar. Could be the same thing for your browser.

No i am usin the default internet browser and my wifi will still be on but it will cancel the download as soon as i leave the internet application

can you try a different browser? Not sure which phone you have so don't know what your 'stock' browser is. But I think Chrome doesn't do this.

I have a samsung s6 but it just does not download i tried using es downloader ot will work while i am on the app but as soon as i leave it the download fails

Check if any of the apps have background data restricted

Youre using power saving mode . Turn it off and ur good to go
