We love all these new phones and tablets, these things cost some serious cash if you think about it. I thought to myself how do you guys get the cash for these gadgets? Are you a burgerking cook or a CEO? I myself work for USPS

So how do you pay for your phones?

Credit cards lol. I don't have these gadgets. I have the DX as my phone and a laptop that I take everywhere.

But some people put money away like $100/paycheck and when it comes time for the new stuff, they have money.

Some have side jobs.

Some have extra cash for this stuff.

I bought a recertified (aka used) Samsung Fascinate from Verizon for $39.99. If I had been eligible for the "new every two years" plan it might have cost less, even for a new one. The recertified one looks and works like new.

I'll sell off some of my old devices to help pay for the new ones. Sometimes I'll add a line to get the subsidies cost, sell off my old device to help pay for the cancellation fee on the new line I just added.
