Atomic clock wrong?

my at&t rugby pro is showing wrong times in my apps (messenger, etc). I got clock sync but have to root. Will this fix this? Does it just sync to the atomic time or can i change the atomic time? i dont have service on my phone only wifi.

i mean just in my messenger the time is wrong to the system time.

no facebook messenger and textfree+ anything else that has timestamps.

Servers might be misreading where you are. Are they all off by the same amount of time?
