I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. I recently bought an 5-in-1 OTG device that has HDMI, USB 2.0, micro USB power supply, plus a card reader. The box calls it HDTV Adapter and OTG Card Reader. I didn't realize when I bought it online that it's for an samsung S3, S4, note 2, & note 4.
My problem is, I can't get the micro USB power to charge my phone. The adapter says DC 5v where the power slot is. Also the box shows and says that you can plug a power supply into it to charge your device. How does it work and how can I get it to work? Do I need a special app or something? Also curious if the power issue is because my phone is an S5 and not an S4 or S3? The adapter works great to read my USB memory sticks and micro SD cards. I just have issues with the micro USB power not working.
