Removing an app that auto starts as default

So i have a Tab 2 4.4.2 from work. Eat $treet app loads upon start up of device. Cant seem to uninstall it. Any suggestions?

Go into settings>applications>find the app, stop it running and uninstall

yeah, i tried that but unfortunately it doesnt give me that option. I cant even get to the desk top window. this app opens up immediately

Is it one you installed yourself, came pre-installed on the device, or do you suspect it downloaded by itself?

Are you saying you are unable to access anything on the Device? Try booting in safe mode and report back with what happens. Thanks

Also while in Safe Mode, go to Settings > Security > Phone/Device Administrators and check if the app is there. If so, deactivate it. Apps that are set as Device Admin won't uninstall until they are deactivated.
