System update stuck??

I accepted a system update and now it seems to be stuck in the middle of the loading bar. It's been a couple hours or so and it hasn't moved. I've tried connecting it to the charger and holding the power button but nothing seems to be working. I was curious as if there was a way to force a cancel or something of the sort. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What device do you have? Holding the power button should have rebooted the device - did it not do that?

I have the Sony Xperia C4, I'm not sure why it didn't work but I've tried multiple times to hold down the power button and reboot the phone and it's just unresponsive.
