shuffle mode on stock music player

When I play a playlist with the stock music player in "shuffle mode", it always repeats some tracks before others have even played.

Is this normal behavior for the music player, or is there a setting I can find somewhere to prevent this?

Happens to me from time to time, but I just bought poweramp and it hasn't happened on my Dinc.

Never could figure out how to properly shuffle on PowerAmp, it would play all files on shuffle (including alerts and ringtones), not just current playlist.

Yeah I figured it out by chance.
Tap once shuffles all songs
Tap again shuffles playlist
Tap again and it shuffles all playlists I think.

Well that sucks, my "trial" for PowerAmp has expired. Guess I could purchase it and hope it works....
