Why can't I add a widget, such as a clock, to my home screen using Nova Launcher?

I may have mentioned earlier, but I've found that Lightning Launcher (for whatever reason) allows me to use Widgets. But, it's SO customizable that I just haven't had a chance to try to make sense of setting it up the way I'd like it to be.

I'm on lightning launcher and it won't let me add any. Did you have to tweak any settings?

I don't think that I did, but honestly I can't recall. I ended up getting a good deal on an Honor 8 phone, and sold my Blu phone.

I contacted Blu and they said to use the default launcher or Google Now, the supervisor told me that nothing will be done to fix the problem...

Same here...... I hate the default launcher and Google now sucks too.... I was trying to use touch Wizard App... I can't get widgets..... This sucks so bad.... How do I contact Blu?

Ok...I contacted Blu customer service via phone... The lady had no idea what I was talking about. No help at all....

I spoke to a supervisor (you can ask to talk to a supervisor) but it was useless. I asked if they would take my phone back or change it to another model, but he said no...

That is so annoying. Hubby has the vivo xl2 and it works for him.... The 5r is supposed to be better and costs more but it obviously isn't....

AT LONG LAST... Got the solution...!!!
1. Root your phone.
2. Install BusyBox (https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...s/details?id=stericson.busybox&token=hXj-MbHN)
3. Install System App Mover (https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...s?id=de.j4velin.systemappmover&token=LuW8cl15)
or, Titanium Backup (https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...d=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup&token=ygGOHk_y)
4. Move "Nova Launcher" from User App to System App.
5. Reboot.
And you are done...
Enjoy Every Feature of Nova Launcher...

still no answer to this problem, wow. I gave Blu a try because I'd seen some good things and I'd never owned one and I like the lower mid range devices as theyve really come up in general. this is basic functionality so I guess i won't be buying Blu again.

Just installed the latest updates by Wireless Update and so far so good. I installed Nova Launcher and was able to add Widgets.
