GPS battery drain even though Location is off

Snapchat is draining my battery by around 30% after 8 hours, even though I barely use it, and after I finish, I always force stop it. I clicked on the little time graph in the settings Battery stats, and saw that GPS was on for most of the day. However, I have Location turned off.

What's more, I turned off Snapchat's permission to use Location, hoping that would solve the issue.

Looks like some app is turning on your gps.. Permissions should show you which ones... Don't forget to look in systems apps there...

GPS itself, the radio, uses very little power - but an app that calls the receiver to give its current location could be drawing a LOT of power. So as Tim said, look for the app using location services.
